Setting parameters in the midst of our new normal way of life.
Every time we say Yes to one thing, we may by implication be saying No to something else.
When we allow certain persons in our lives, we are probably not able to give access to others.
This is because we can not do everything and can not befriend every person that we come across.
This means that sometimes we have to make choices.
We may make wrong choices, but more often difficult and painful as well.
It is not easy to set limits and it is even more difficult to accept our very own limitations.
Yet, this is precisely what we need to do and come to terms with it.
When we choose to be for everyone, we find ourselves often unable to be close to anyone.
When we frantically seek to help the many, we may in fact be helping no one.
For connecting with others it can be as a counsellor, as a friend, a neighbour, or companion, we have to set limits and understand our very own limitations.
It does not mean with holding ourselves, but more on focusing for sincere and true service for others.
We are always here!
